Hyperscript is totally optional, you can use vanilla js or something like alpinejs for extra stuff
Maybe not the same, but I find Red lang ( https://www.red-lang.org/), Rebol like language, somewhat similar in spirit.
In my experience, you get 10x to 100x gains easily switching to something lighter than Rails, like Roda.
I'm trying to do something with DragonRuby Game Toolkit (Ruby is my main tool) but LÖVE always seemed nice, too. I also like Moonscript as an alternative to Lua language ( https://moonscript.org/ )
If remember correctly, the [Howl editor](https://howl.io/about.html) has Lpeg and use of scintillua. It looks great and it's older but I'm not sure why Lite got more press coverage.
IMHO, it's way easier to check the script content before sudoing and validate its security than validate the Docker ecosystem.
