Always use i for exactly that. Of if the hotspot page on hotels doesn’t pop up.
The Locations field is underrated. If you have custom passes from your favorite stores, they pop up automatically when you are at that location.
That is an interesting statistic, but would be even more interesting if it were explained. Is this solely explained by air quality getting better? Is the climate getting dryer around the area, hence less water vapor in…
I do appreciate the link to the article and came via HN. I don’t think you can speak for either the audience of people producing software nor for HN. Another article comparing LGPL and this license sounds good and I am…
There are some good descriptions and hints, but what the site really needs is examples. Just looking at the code doesn't help me much. The descriptions are also mostly so short, that they could just as well be tooltips…
The code is right here: https://github.com/AprilNEA/OpenLogi What makes you say this is stolen from LinearMouse?
I get your distaste, but RSS is the more famous wording of the technology. I would frame it as "people who love RSS - but technically these are Atom feeds". RSS is the word that stuck and I think we should keep…
True. Just based on the reporting we don't know what's going on, but the article makes it sound like those 180+ nodes were unexpected. Of course you would need to set your own limits to alerting and "what is unexpected"…
Not sure that everyone does this anyway. There are some good security postures you can take with Tailscale as well and leaving an auth key lying around is not one of them. Tailscale lock should have been enabled. For…
That’s awesome!
Why I third party? Aren’t the stolen buttons stored locally?
How do we UPDATE the underlying engine once it gets new features? Since this is a self contained HTML file I am not sure how this works. Editing multiple things at once (select via CTRL) needs some more options (like…
Very interesting rabbit hole for today. Thanks for mentioning Pareto frontier!
Is „frontier“ overused? I thought frontier models were the best-of-the-best such as Fable right now. I assume you can’t host these models yourself since you would need many GB of RAM and expensive GPU of is my thinking…
Back when eastereggs were semi-allowed in MS software. Shame it is being discouraged or disallowed. Totally understand it from a security and maintenance perspective, but things were more fun back then.
Same! I did it by using private browser windows, this way I could see all the words.
So what’s a better form than the current capitalistic (?) model? Surely we would say the market is efficient, but at the same time it can’t be good for society that so much capital is localized with a few people (bezos,…
So what’s the functional difference to Cloudflare (free) DNS? Anything besides „this is European“ that makes me want to switch?
Their claim is that they are European, but I see a US support hotline in the footer and all prices are in Dollar. Seems to be targeting the US market (which is smart), but I don't know whether the European angle wins…
You are right. Sometimes I do care about overly Americentrist views. But maybe better to now reply, thanks.
* to some countries. We don’t all celebrate Father’s Day on the same day and we don’t all celebrate Father’s Day at all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father%27s_Day#/media/File:Fat...
Ah, so this is ANOTHER price increase in a short timeframe? Thought I read about this before
I'm sure! But then I would need a custom PCB and spare time on my hand as well as possibly skills I don't have like SMD soldering. I would love to buy a cheap (~50€/$) finished LoRaWAN gateway product, but those don't…
This is awesome! Thank you rajveerb. Here is to hoping issues from 2022 will be fixed ;-)
I really like LoRa and its range, but unfortunately the hardware is much more expensive than e.g. Zigbee or WiFi devices. Would love a LoRaWAN router but they run around ~80€/80$ and just for playing around with it it…
