It was pointless. The python core team decided to obsolete every existing line of python code in exchange for basically nothing. On top of it a few features were changed in ways that felt outright vindictive (division,…
More people SHOULD have refused the python3 transition plan (the most common example in the piece). It was absolute garbage and the eager adopters were the ones responsible for it becoming permanent.
>A few people from my team who left for other companies have already come back within months. Ask them if they got a pay bump when they came back.
Expecting your neighbor to be ok with two people talking to each other for 7 hours straight is just plain rude regardless of your office preference.
Yes? It's easy to feel productive in an open office. There's activity and buzz and you can accomplish nothing for four hours and still feel like you did something. You can't do that in a more private setting, what…
I own an xps 15. It gets mega hot and can't run anything without having to slow down performance because it is too hot. Whatever the optimal battery solution is XPS15 is not doing a good job of it.
There are also compromises made on the frosting so that it doesn't melt at room temperature. Fake cakes let you serve cakes that actually taste good. American cake is in general very good - I'm not sure where you're…

I'm convinced that flat got popular because it was cheaper than creating textured graphics. The endless fawning over flat on HN was extremely obnoxious - back in 2013 you couldn't go a day without a "flat design is good…
When people use the phrase MBA on HN they usually mean MBA from one of the top 20 or so programs, which answers your first question.
Yo got 1.5 million dollars fwiw.

That list made think about what would make you feel impostor syndrome. I think it often happens when the rewards you get are disproportionately large compared to the amount of effort you've put in. No doubt Tom Hanks…
The reason it's seen as depressing is that game addicts are usually celibate
Maybe you're just a better person than them.
I don't really understand what parts of the game are really departures from the Zelda formula. Swapping out the small mechanics like climbing and cooking this could be an Ocarina of Time review.
The aging of the gaming populace is I think a large part of why online CCGs (like Hearthstone, Shadowverse, Eternal) have been getting so popular - while there are obviously a lot of kids who play, many of the players…
