Do they really get 1099s? TIL Seems like this doesn't apply then.
I have a hard time seeing the distinction between people paid by Google or Facebook to share their phone usage data vs people paid by DoorDash to deliver food. You're probably right though.
Now I'm really curious if they're going to casually shut down doordash (afaik the doordash app for the dashers uses enterprise certs).
I believe the price is stopping it. Getting a telco to give you massively reduced rates on a few domains is drastically different than paying for internet access for everybody. Also, please correct me if I am mistaken,…
> The only difference between Angular view layer and React would be the use of Typesript for the former and JSX for the later. I think you meant either 1. the use of HTML for the former and JSX for the later 2. the use…
It's possible they simply created another AI and gave it full information (including the opponent's hand) - essentially making a "perfect" player (who cheats). Not a useful program, but a good play-mate.
Huh, I haven't done that since Vista.
Teasing people after hacking in noclip is quite fun.
I'm not quite sure why you seem so sure he didn't also send an email to that address (or use that form)? I didn't read the article thoroughly, did he enumerate somewhere which ways of contacting Y! he tried?
There's different kinds of information that law enforcement can store. Looking at extremes: keeping a record of which people have killed someone in the past seems like a very reasonable thing to do. On the other hand,…
That's a little silly. This makes the assumption that everyone will be playing this "ultimate" MMORPG, and our society will turn into a dystopian future. People who play MMORPGs now, will play it. People who don't play…
That dev tools screenshot looks pretty awesome. Seems to have even more detail than Chrome's timeline view. Gotta try it sometime.
Sooooo... where do I get the WebGL (demo on the page) version? I want that.
That's sort of the whole point... Lack of net neutrality leads to ISPs slowing down specific traffic (such as Netflix but not, say, Youtube).
> I'm wondering if people look at this and think "that's awesome, I can relate! I want to work there," or if they look at this and think "that guy has no problem spending time being mean to people he thinks deserve it,…
I remember being amazed how simple raycasting was when I wrote a similar (though much simpler) engine in Java for a high school project. The "engine" itself was like ~200 lines of code in just 2 or 3 functions.…
I believe Virgin partners with other airlines for all their international flights. Like, "Air Tahiti Nui operated by Virgin".
If choice 1 is to supposedly be good and suffer and choice 2 is to be an asshole - there's always choice 3: walk away.
[delete] wiki'd my question.
Ugly version: for(i=1;i<101;i++)console.log((i%3?"":"fizz")+(i%5?"":"buzz")||i)
Strange, I'm able to compile 12k lines of code (that's output) in 5.2 seconds. Running this on a watch + autoreload process, so 6 seconds after I hit save, the results show up in my web browser. I do remember 0.9.1…
I believe the main benefit is that it is much easier to customize/change/tweak.
Here's your example without a watch: http://plnkr.co/edit/GCv7bQALiOTgJ0npavwi?p=preview
Engine overheating vs. accident are very different causes for fires.
Such small numbers make terrible statistics. For instance, I could say that "the Tesla Model S is infinitely times less likely than a non-Tesla to suffer a fire which leads to a death." 0 for Tesla, X > 0 for others.
