I agree that websites should be printable. I'm a fan of RSS and eInk displays (Kindles, and when I can afford one, a PC monitor), and printable websites would make using them on paper-like displays easier. I've been…
"Package manager"-like behaviour like this is evil. Importing software/code at runtime from the internet (like Apt, Go, Pacman, Pip, NPM, etc.) is the equivalent of those dreadful online stub installer packages, and…
By leaking American info, Snowden painted a target on his back that can be reached by the USA and all allies with extradition agreements. That leaves him with very few superpowers who won't hand him over to the FBI/CIA…
I use Betula (https://codeberg.org/bouncepaw/betula/) for this purpose of a self-hosted personal Google (for websites). (For file search, I use voidtools' Everything, and I'm not sure why anyone other than Microsoft…
What about Krionicle? References Chronological Chronicle, cryo- (freezing knowledge for later use), and a robotic toy from 2001
How arrogant of the Musescore developers to think they know better than hundreds of years of historical music notation by actual musicians. Seems in line with their arrogant disregard for the community and bad Audacity…
I am frustrated by the constant rebranding and tech churn (Qt now? Why?) under the new Audacity management. A lesson for other open-source projects: don't be bought out by commercial companies.
Nuclear's great until you have a natural disaster or war. Then every single reactor is a potential Chernobyl. The less of those around, the better.
How much does it cost? I was spooked when there were no prices on the website and it says only "email for quote".
I will be buying a Mullvad subscription because of this. Keep up the good work! Private individuals should have the right to free speech/expression, whatever that is, and that is a value I admire this VPN company for…

Found a link to the Fossil forum thread I opened about this very problem of the split between Fossil Wiki and docs: https://fossil-scm.org/forum/forumpost/e19ed2bfea94fc91f544c...
I wanted to host our company wiki in Fossil, but there is no way to import it because Fossil completely separates versioned project docs and the built-in Wiki function. Our git-based wiki could be imported into Fossil…
I don't understand why browser-makers don't leave window management to the window manager. Split view has been standard in Windows (and probably Linux?) since 2009. I know Mac doesn't really do split windows without…
> "This is a quite a unique situation, and I think the young female has a keen eye to actually spot it," [Chris Newman, director of the National Centre for Reptile Welfare, said] What an odd thing to say.
Someone made a nice player website for the Aadam Jacobs collection (probably vibe-coded): https://aadamjacobs.dunlap.ai/
