This skepticism is weird to me. I might be overly naive, but it looks like these are people that have funding for doing something they think is cool and think could help people out. Whether or not it turns out that way…
As I understood it, they're using the rest of the array to receive when one is transmitting, thus getting signal from the opposite side of the body as well. I don't see how you can do this with just one device.
Your point stands, but this is not exactly an exemplary comment either
Might make sense to message the MEP's that oppose chat control moreso the ones that support it. Maybe they can use some of their internal influence to sway some people. I'm pessimistic about the amount of weight these…
Going through your comment history makes me wish for a way to ignore hn users
There's a Frieren [1] reference in there! https://www.ioccc.org/2025/yang2/index.html One of the main characters is called Fern, and she almost exclusively uses the common offensive magic of Zoltraak. [1]…

How do you get enough calories while avoiding fats? What do you usually eat in a day?
Not that slow if the temperature is high enough. Power radiated is proportional to T^4
Scott Manley is a much more respected source than I am
I don't see how that would lessen their concerns? Exactly because space is a vacuum, cooling is harder since you can't do convection. The math still checks out though. Scott Manley did a video on it, and the top comment…
Frame it as "America will decide what you can do with your phone" and people in Europe will listen.
Check if there are local digital rights groups to your country/area. I just joined two I didn't even know about. Meeting up and talking with likeminded people is a great way to get motivation for bigger change.
I love the readme on the gitlab page [1]. It feels so.. friendly :) > This repository contains CAD files for the external shell (surface topology) of Steam Controller and the Steam Controller Puck, under a Creative…
Did you read the rest of the post? The author acknowledges the lander issues as well
This is quite interesting. I'm not sure what can to be done to reverse this? When you've reached a level of untrust where you deem trust itself naive, how can you recover?
It is straight up the same NERV, so it might. From the site: > The name and logo of "NERV" are used with the explicit permission of khara Inc., the copyright holder of the "Evangelion" series, and Groundworks…
The graphics protocol might be relevant, but I fail to see how the rest of your comment is.

It doesn't have to be significantly better. If the service is stable, cheap and hassle-free, people will pay for it.
Lots of fun trying to go to a target symbol. Especially if you intentionally get yourself stuck in the lines first :D
Is this a joke I don't get? His name was Rudolf Diesel, right?
I have the printed versions of issue #6 and #7, I highly recommend them! https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/pagedout
I think op meant the subjective feeling of having a system that runs in a stable manner. I don't quite follow their reasoning either (maybe the smaller changesets expose compatibility bugs before affecting general ux?),…
If you're trying to deny internet access to a program, beware that landlock only restricts tcp sockets. Programs are free to setup udp or just raw sockets.
