From a consumer perspective, what's wrong with c9.io being purchased by Amazon? Shouldn't that mean more stability and an acceptance by enterprise of cloud coding?
Chromebook user here. The Web Browser IS my Operating System. ;)
A good number of people fall asleep while driving anyways. This guy was lucky that his car didn't crash when it happened...
But I agree, they are hard to get here...
You can get them on Kogan.com.au
The title seems misleading. People with marijuana in their bloodstream != stoned drivers. Marijuana use is detectable for a long time past the point of impairment and the data only reflects that they HAVE used marijuana…
Not sure if it makes any difference, but I tend to Google syntax rather than solutions... I often know "what" I want to do, I just can't remember the "how".
True, except it was distracting to the point that I couldn't finish reading the article...
This is luxury compared to being placed on hold by Telstra...
I think the main issue is that Sydney is so spread out and there is very little late night public transportation. That means a night out for most people ends with a very expensive taxi bill (Uber has helped somewhat…
I think they are banking on the fact that fewer people are inclined to return their phone and order a new one to save $50 than would claim a $50 refund outright.
If you have an ActionScript background, I highly recommend Easel JS. http://www.createjs.com/easeljs
That's exactly what I like about ES6 (the fact that it has come out of a committee and is now a standard).
I am wondering then why people think Java is only good for old school enterprise apps (according to the comments).
Aren't Android apps written in Java?
I think that's the point of material design. It's the design equivalent of egoless programming. You should not be able to tell who wrote/designed something if it is done properly.
Hmmm so some kind of modulator/demodulator? A MoDem of sorts?
Thanks very much!
Hi, I have been a long time Nitrous user (I use it with my Chromebook). Do you have any plans for migrating current users to Nitrous Pro? Thanks
This looks like they expect HTML5 mobile games to become more popular in the future. This means browser games will be able to access the same features as native ones. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I have used it before and I like it. I do wish someone would hurry up with a Ruby implementation through (ended up having to use Ruby Racer to decode it on the server).
I guess it comes down to economy of scale. Only a company at Google's scale can afford to budget AND monetize such a project which would make little sense at a smaller enterprise.
Plus one for Mousetrap. I have used it too... Also, it has a better name. ;)
I would argue that crappy developers are more productive "initially" but in the longer term may end up with unmanageable code bases that will slow them down. That being said, one can also spend so much time writing…
I wonder where the interviewer's son Jonathan is now and what his thoughts are?
