It seems unlikely that smartphones would be targeted for such an attack because almost nobody stores large amounts of crypto on their smartphone. Those that do will likely get hacked more traditionally.
There have been more hacks, bugs, and coins lost from software or custodial wallets than ever have and likely ever will be lost from hardware wallets.
I presume because iPhones have a secure TPM and nobody is targeting them for crypto supply chain attacks.
