It was always a sewer.

When Kojima announced Death Stranding 2, he joked about rewriting the entire thing after the pandemic because he was trying to avoid predicting the future again. The guy has some kind of super power it seems. Metal Gear…
So this isn't replacing the main implementation? They just funded a new project written in Rust that is compatible?
I love fish. Switch from ZSH+Prezto to just plain Fish and I'm not missing anything and it's way faster. All the servers have bash and I still write bash scripts, but for day-to-day terminal stuff it's Fish all the way…
We have developers of various experience and skillsets that come and go, sticking to a subset of language features with minimal magic has made it easier to onboard and get people productive. We have massive codebase,…
Super Mario is also a kids game and those games run flawlessly with nice graphics and innovative gameplay. Kids like to play good games too.

Don't you just level up as high as possible in bioware or bethesda games? Not what I would consider "minmaxing". Skyrim is fun because I can get everything to 100 at whatever pace I choose but there is no "min" involved…

Culex uses the Final Fantasy 4 boss battle music, so some people mistakenly think he is from the game but it's just the music. I've played through FF4 over 10 times and he definitely is not in it ;)
Tangentially related: 7 minutes of Pharo Smalltalk for Rubyists https://youtu.be/HOuZyOKa91o
None. He's original to Mario RPG. The allusion to Final Fantasy is just an easter egg.
Coding was hard when I was coding for the sake of coding. Turns out after you spend a decade solving problems and creating/maintaining products that “coding” is probably the least difficult part. These days I’m relieved…
Another christmas approaching, another depressing realization that I'll probably be stuck on ruby 2.6.9 and Rails 5 until I change companies.
> Craig Ferengi is too busy massaging his own ears FTFY
Abraham Lincoln, I'm pretty sure.
Not with that attitude.
It’s either more time or less features. Less testing is non-negotiable.
Definitely a very bad idea. The first 2 or so weeks felt euphoric to me but after that it was pure hell for months and months.
