Actually the AI in Civ games has always been known to be poor. Particularily after the 4th instalment.
They don't have a will. If they say they do its just because a human told them to say that.
Typically in stories where ai is outlawed, it's written that way so that it makes sense that people are controlling anything at all (instead of just letting the computer handle it).

As a Canadian, the real issue with the NDP was their leader. Singh was just not a good choice. We saw how appointing Carney saved the Liberals and how not dumping PP hurt the Cons.

The Federal Greens have had more than one seat before. Support for Greens is growing, and PEI may elect a provincial Green government next.
With video games in particular, a lot of them weren't really planned in advance to be successes. They were just ideas that ended up getting made.
Japan doesn't seem to take the hero fantasy thing as seriously. It seems to be more about escapism in general and what the show and characters are "about," even if that's not really very deep to begin with.
