Does anybody have any link to the source with some official statement that Google really made an offer to buy Groupon? Everybody are talking about this like it was a real fact but all articles I saw were rumors only.

Germany would not be the second biggest exporter in the world if it was a myth. German approach seems to work better than English one at least in older, more established industries (cars, etc).
The law was changed lately as far as I know. The company director has to be EU resident only.
