This would be amazing to see upstreamed! I did some similar work for optimizing batch calls for the Quartz Scheduler. I left before it got merged, but was able to follow up and get it in as it was already PR'd.
Java have less of a DevEx score than C# is crazy work.

Everything for the document (fonts, images, etc) are all stored within the document file. It's entirely self-contained.
Thanks for the clarifications! I've been spending the last 3 weeks deep in the weeds of TF/IDF scoring and was about to give up on Elastic Search when this got posted. The article has been eye opening!!!

I'd imagine a combination of runtime extension checking, and baseline extension support. I.e. when you pass -mavx2 or -march=native to your Cxx compiler, it sets the baseline minimum for what op codes are used.
