Same in Firefox. https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2012/10/11/click-to-play-p... Though I just never bothered installing Flash. If I need Flash for a site, I use Chrome (which comes with Flash embedded, I believe).
I believe she is referring to opting out of the full body scanners[1] in American airports. One can do that by telling the TSA agent that they'd like to opt out of the scanner. They will instead do a manual pat down. 1:…
That's a valid concern, but unrelated to JavaScript being required. Making a JavaScript web application screen reader accessible is no problem.
This isn't used internally by Facebook at this point. The author mentioned this after your post. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8108741
Pretty fun game! I had one issue though. I managed to type 129wpm in one round (I normally type around 105-110, this particular paragraph was easy). It told me to be allowed to use this score I had to prove I could type…
This is great work. The video in particular sold the idea to me. Projects like this are really making me want to build something substantial in ClojureScript.
It's in the Mac App Store (they can't charge you again later) so it's free to download and use forever, offer expiring after one month.
I can confirm that. I really miss that feature.
What are the features the PS4 has that are missing on the Xbox One? Genuine question.
It guessed I was 10. I'm old enough to have received a BS and have had a job for quite a few years. I'm not sure why it would think that.
Firefox has one, too. about:config, search for "plugins.click_to_play". Enable!
I use space for page down and shift+space for page up. Scrolling means tracking where I am as I go, when I hit page down I know where to start reading, the top. It feels more like reading a book.
Absolutely nothing, but I prefer when you disclaim that you've included one.
I understand your point (and agree), but a nice stout and some fancy chocolate go quite well together. :)
Do you happen to have a source for this? I've always heard (via offhand comments, admittedly) that the deal was done and Google wasn't surprised.
Yesterday I launched my iOS receipt management app, Simple Receipts. My goal was to make the absolute simplest app possible, as all of the (many) existing ones were complex. By default it simply saves your receipt…
Building a pulley system would take some significant time and requires finding the necessary tools and resources. The bucket brigade is much simpler and immediately available. Not nearly as much fun, though.
No, this has been the case for as long as I can remember. Years, at least.
I'm really impressed with how smooth this is. No slowdowns on my 2009 MBP running Firefox 18.0a2 (Aurora).
There's a cork recycling bin at the Green Life (owned by Whole Foods) in my hometown. They don't mention what they use it for, as far as I can tell, but I'd guess they sell it somewhere.
Interesting. I thought the opposite. I watched it before I saw any information about what it was, and had no idea what it was supposed to be about in the end. I just needed a little more context at the beginning, and I…
I've seen a good number of people bringing longboards into coffee shops and places like that. I'd imagine it would be harder to bring it into a fancier establishment, though.
Can you go into more detail on how you use an RSS reader to consume Facebook? I've seen that you can subscribe to individual pages, is that what you're doing?
iOS5 - with an iPhone4S - Worked fairly well and tolerably fast, but not particularly smooth. Took a while to load initially, too.
This particular installer is a .app rather than a .pkg. I don't think there's anything that would make a .app log all of its changes.
