Having built a prototype of a system like Ursa myself, this isn't something that you need to use at all, especially because it seems like this is only available in S3 Express One Zone.
If they're offering SSO using a 3rd party provider like Auth0 then they probably have to charge for it because of how expensive it is.
I love this stuff. Seems like TektiteDB also has an implementation as well https://github.com/spirit-labs/tektite/tree/main/cluster
Ah gotcha, that's a nice way of approaching it. Best of luck to you guys.
Do you guys only offer SAML in your hosted SaaS?
Amazing! I also learned about domains with your comment.
I always wondered about this, a while ago I saw a library similar to this that modeled FSMs in Postgres, and had a comment saying "todo: cycle detection". And made me wonder if it's even possible to do this.
I've seen a bunch of people recommending alternatives that are also Python based, makes me wonder if there's similar things for other languages like Go, Rust, etc
I'd be curious to see a direct performance comparison between their python and JS workers. Based on my own experience with pyodide, I'd wager there might be up to a 2x performance penalty.
This tends to be my experience, but mainly when it comes to areas that neither model know about. Claude 3 Opus will happily make something up, but ChatGPT4 will point out where it's lacking.
Can you point to any resources to read up on this?
Which is interesting considering Freeman Dyson was the guy that made the connection between Schwinger's and Feynman's QED.
Since we're on the subject, is there a modern alternative to Jenkins?
Are you talking about pods/deployments/etc or lower level abstractions like informers and things like that?
I'm currently in the boat where I need to set up authentication (and eventually authorization) for a startup catering to big enterprises almost exclusively. I'd love to be recommended resources for setting up something…
I learned how to program by working on a modest simulation for one of the PIs involved with IceCube. I ended up leaving academia but I really enjoy keeping up with the project over the years.
I specifically started paying for youtube premium because spotify just didn't have nearly as much of the music I listen to, and specifically the artists I listen to, and the youtube music app was good enough. The fact…
Overpriced? Can't say I disagree with you, but Harness was by far the best CD solution I've ever used, and to this day I'm still waiting for an open source solution to replicate the experience, without needing to deploy…
Some agencies, ones you might not even expect like the USPS and FDA, also have law enforcement powers, but have very narrow jurisdiction (relative to general law enforcement agencies like the FBI). So when a case…
Yea, after reading the article I went and read the 2.10 release blog post and then came back and commented as if the article posted was the 2.10 post. That was my mistake.
I was hoping the blog post would include a tentative roadmap for adding tiered storage.
I've never used it myself, but while doing research I noticed that it received a lot of praise from users. One thing that did catch my attention is that it doesn't use statefulsets for the postgres pods. I mostly agree…
Oregon no longer requires a prescription since 2022.
Hard to say, as far as I can tell there's no networking libraries right now.
This might have been a concern within the first few years of its life, but at this point Go has too much community inertia to get killed.
