Interesting. I will try to think that way. BTW I’m quite self-disciplined pretty much every other way and I never thought much about it, but I think that’s how I normally am. If it’s not food or caffeine...
So you're in favor of alcohol prohibition, too, correct?
Alcohol is legal, not decriminalized. Alcohol kills and hurts more people than marijuana ever has and ever will. Despite those problems, most sane people do not believe prohibition of alcohol was a good time for humanity.
Weed is closer to alcohol in this regard. People smoke cigarettes because it looks cool. People drink or smoke pot because they're mind altering substances. Movies/music/etc. already portray smoking pot (whether it's cool or not is up to you I guess) so that horse is out of the barn.
"Will Kids think it's cool" isn't really a good argument in favor of prohibition. If anything, so far the (small amount) of data seems to show that legalization doesn't really impact things too much in regards to kids smoking in states its been legalized in. The teen usage is about the same, but it's still a super new thing so who knows how that plays out long term.
I am not arguing for prohibition but for making sure that the financial interests won't go wild, I read daily here the phrase "companies have no moral" so I see this companies putting a lot of effort into selling as much as possible by advertising, misleading people about the side effects, a solution that I would be happy would be to not allow big companies to enter into this business, allow only small farmers, if it is imported then it should be done by non-profits and distribute it in pharmacies.
I admit I did not studied this topics since I am not interested just I am very disgusted on the tabacoo industry advertising and lobby and I would like to not repeat the history. I am not for prohibition, make it legal but don't have that a dozens of people get rich on this and society pays for the consequences.
There are a lot of smokers who hate stoners, and won't mention their mj use to casual acquaintances. And it's certainly not for everybody, especially at higher doses or potency.
Is this a joke? Are you actually trying to defend your over generalization by pretending a handful of issues is a comprehensive list? Please explain to me how a child suffering from diabetes or fetal alcohol syndrome is really just "getting strong[er] in a different way".

Not a good or very useful argument but in comparison to 'alcohol exists in nature' 'so does weed'.
Then my observation doesn't apply to you.
> Maybe that's why pro GMO and anti GMO folks can't have a discussion?
Lots of anti GMO folks have cited health concerns.
Depression itself leads to all of those things. Your anecdote is not data.
It's literally what he said: "inconclusive, needs more study".
Nobody said that smoking marijuana is natural, the argument was that the desire to alter one's mind and to experiment is natural.
