If you look through the past threads linked at the top of this page, you'll find examples where people were testing this and getting affirmative results, though not everyone did.

The title is obviously an attempt at manipulation, and the article is from a more than dubious source. This should really not be on HN.

These terms are used to troll and insult posters some people disagree with, not to criticise or to have any substantive discussion.

It's like trying to pass off calling someone "Yankee MF" as criticism of the American government...

The behavior has been reproduced by HN users. Of course the source is biased, but so is any Chinese news outlet. It's not like American outlets are perfectly neutral either.
