Poor quality article, some of the quotes don't even end so I can't tell where author stops and Linus starts.

Journalism seems to be just looking out for such things these days. If you are on lkml you'll find these mails floating around and it's kind of fun to read them, but making up stories and putting them in mass media and headlining Linus every time seems to be just click bait for the uninitiated and it's sad these people are just looking for ad revenue instead of actually contributing anything productive.
