Why, oh why does this device have to be connected tot he public internet? That should be a big red flag. and the answer should not be "because we can".
It should have a feature that if someone locks it and cannot unlock, it will unlock after a long period of time, for example, 3 months, to make it safe to use.
These IoT sex toys are terrible due to their insecurity, but perhaps they can be an interesting way to play Capture-The-Flag games for those who are into it. Someone should design some games for them. For example, a crypto CTF game takes control and locks your chastity cage at the beginning until the server receives a response signed by RSA, to free yourself you must derive the private key by exploiting a padding oracle vulnerability in the RSA implementation or using an arbitrary code execution vulnerability in server's input handling code. Of course participating should be consensual with a safe word, and the difficulty should be reasonable within the participants skills.
Sure but you'd think there would be at least some safeguards, what if the battery dies? Or perhaps there's a weakness in the mechanism that can be exploited? Or perhaps just a bolt cutter?
Well, don't ask me how I know this, but these things attach via a ring around your junk and stay on via the gap between the "tube" and "ring" being too small for your testes to squeeze through.
You /could/, obviously, just cut the damn thing off, but then you'd risk injuring yourself, and nobody wants to put a hacksaw near their dick.
