Ask HN: Is anyone else annoyed by the bug in the comments links?

18 points by speps ↗ HN
Between Oct 27th and Oct 28th the HTML code for HN's front page changed from:

Oct 27th: <a href="hide?id=29010103&amp;goto=news">hide</a> | <a href="item?id=29010103">18&nbsp;comments</a>

Oct 28th: <a href="hide?id=29022887&amp;goto=news">hide</a><a href="item?id=29022887"> | 31&nbsp;comments</a>

The space and vertical bar between "hide" and the "XXX comments" is now part of the link for the comments.

Could it be fixed please? Thanks!

haha.. i just e-mailed hn@ a few mins ago. so annoying! :D
The vertical dividers should just be CSS anyway
Have you seen HN's HTML? :D
I didn't even notice it, but now that you've pointed it out, I'm annoyed.
I got a bunch of user emails for my HN client (I am the dev for HACK client on iOS, Android and Mac) that the comment count were all zeroes for some reason. By the time I got to troubleshoot the issue, the issue disappeared. I emailed the mods and they told me they had accidentally introduced a bug which caused the issue.
Fixed now. In the future, please follow the site guidelines (https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html) and email these things to hn@ycombinator.com rather than posting them to HN.

Fortunately several others did, which is how I found out about this.
