In 1997 I met a Russian student studying in Sweden. Over a break he went back to Russia, and when he returned to Sweden he had brought a typical (he claimed it was) Russian vodka bottle.
It was a one-litre bottle, and it had a pull-off bottle cap. When I asked about it, he explained that it didn't need anything else because the bottles never needed to be sealed after being opened.
