Tell HN: GitHub Appears to Be Down

Github appears to be down. Unable to reach the site, perfom git operations, or even ping github.com

Statuspage shows everything as fine. Anyone else seeing this?

Edit: My location is Colorado, US

GitHub is up for me at present (Chicago area, US)

Bear in mind, in modern Internet, you might want to specify the local area you hail from, as these large websites may not be down for the entire planet at once.

Seems to be working fine from NYC area.
Can still access GitHub from London atm
As more services are having issues, like Slack. It's most likely a cloud provider (AWS) thats having issues (in some regions).
It's working fine for me in Seattle, WA. It looks like two "down" reports from Colorado, likely something ISP/Geo-specific.
I am having intermittent issues with it. I was having issues with the whole site first but now it only seems to be affecting GH pages. I am in the Albuquerque area.
I am in Colorado and also cannot access Github. Timeout when loading, traceroute dies after a few hops.
I can't ping it from my home in the Chicago area, but I can from my Vultr VPS in Chicago. I have a smallish WISP so probably routed a bit unusually, I've seen traffic go all the way out to SIX then back to Chicago.

Edit: indeed a traceroute to github.com appears to die on Fusion Network in Coresite Denver.

Also down. Denver, CO.
down for me; upper midwest in US. website is intermittent, but api.github.com has been unresponsive
appears to be regional for Colorado, Nebraska, and here in South Dakota at least.
+1 for me in Colorado
From residential Comcast/Xfinity cable in Portland, Oregon, GitHub itself is working, but GitHub Pages sites (e.g. https://clasqm.github.io/freedos-repo/ ) are showing an angry unicorn error message (503). The same sites work fine from any Tor exit node I've tried so far.
Github isn't down, it's your connection to Github. Try using Tor Browser, or disable your wifi, and use your cellphone to connect to test.
Also in Colorado, can't reach github via Comcast (stops at the 910 15th Street Comcast hop at the ColoHotel in Denver), or via Fort Collins fiber (Connexion), stops after 2 hops, they largely connect via Cogent I believe.

Our servers in Denver have no problem at the Iron Mountain data center, but they have a traffic optimizer and tend to have really, really good connectivity.

It is back up for me. I hope everyone can access it now.
