It is very close to reality when it comes to running an actual critical workload.
The whole area out of the water and the first level under water is more like having some fun and playing with different concepts and maybe running something and showing everyone unaware of what the best is and make the say wow.
Then comes the reality of security, automation, management, governance, observability and that is when the project grind to halt or it turn into another one of the setups that leaks :).
