is this a first? a youtube video upvoted on HN? please kill yourself submitter and voters.
You know, around these parts we just say 'not hacker news.'
Killing them seems a bit excessive. I'll settle for castration.
I don't know if a Youtube video making the front page is a first, but complaining about not linking a post being on the HN front page is definitely not a first.

For all that, upmodded for being the first such complaint to cross the line into advocating violence and mayhem. Along with a suggestion to chill out listening to Helter Skelter.

Here's an idea, instead of a down vote. How about a side vote.

Make HN have two tabs, one hacker news, one ~hacker news.

If a story gets enough side votes, it moves to the ~hacker news tab.

Interesting stories still would be just one tab away, and as far as I can see, no one has any incentive to side vote "true" HN type stories.

or... just hit reddit.com =)
I was going to vote this down, but I watched it and liked it.

I don't agree with every point -- on several occasions I felt the analysis was wide and slippery -- but as far as the general situation and general factors involved, I think it was worth watching.

me too.. it challenged many of my assumptions and gave me new information.. possibly useful info for any entrepreneur planning a financial strategy in an uncertain economy.. and it frames the crisis as a real opportunity..
what the hell accent does he have? american-irishglish?
It sounds Scandinavian, maybe Dutch to me.
I had a roommate from upstate New York with a very similar accent. I think it started as an affectation, and eventually turned into his normal speech pattern.
His info page says he's living in Toronto, Canada, and calls Athelone, Ireland his hometown. So technically, Canarish.
