This article is pretty weak, basically shows how you can make money running targeted pages, and then use that to buy books?

On topic of actually getting a free book, I'm a top 2,000 reviewer, so because of that, and I have my site linked from my amazon profile, so I'll occasionally get emails for books to review. Unfortunately all the books I want to read, the companies don't seem to do this. It seems to be mostly junk.

Do you only review book on the internet or do you also work for a newspaper etc. If not what motivates you to review all those book?
Maybe it's just me, but paying for backlinks sounds like spam...
So for just two or three hours work per month, I can get all my books for free (up to $20 worth).

Where do I sign up?

This whole article is geared towards getting some future Internet Marketers klicking on his "Bo_okmarkwhiz" affiliate link to generate money. Normally I think this is okay since more than 50% of the articles on HN are submitted as ads for a service or a way to boost sales and/or a brand. But this guys article is not about books on amazon its about how you should also pay for the tools to make these niche sites...
