I have had very good results with the 18:6 method. It's tough to restrict yourself from eating before 12:00, but if you need to, you can always fall back to 16:8.

Results will vary greatly from person to person, there won't be a single best method to lose weight, and it's usually more effective if you combine it with a modest but honest workout routine (rowing and running in my case)
