I think indigenous groups are largely unhappy with how much their culture and practices have been commoditized and sold to those outside their group as it is.
They don’t actually really like being called Native American though. That’s kind of a white thing.
There’s a reason Indian tribes are still called Indian tribes in the US and it’s because they’re fine with it. You just treat it as short for indigenous and you’re good.

Well, that's a big lie. I grew up on a reservation, an Indian Service Area, and still work on a reservation. Native American, Indian, American Indian are all used.

They are not such enormous fans of the term that you should be going around telling people to use it over other ones. And white people (who think “Indian” is a slur) do go around telling people this.
Aren’t Europeans, and many Asian ethnic groups considered an “indigenous group” of their home country. In such a case I don’t think say the Japanese are pissed off on the exportation of their culture through anime, etc.
To make such a general statement seems weird. Given the diverse nature of such a large number of groups.
fwiw I think an important distinction is that you're talking about a majority group. It's probably different for the indigenous people that the Japanese Empire committed genocide against, like the Ainu
Most of the indigenous people who I have met want to share their culture and are okay with earning a living by selling art that reflect their culture. They do not like it when others do the same, most likely due to a history of cultural misrepresentation, exploitation, and outright theft.
It looks like they meant 3D printing in many places, but still 3D technology as a term to describe modeling and scanning is reasonable. As for what technology isn't 3D, a lot of technology doesn't really have anything more to do with 3D than any other number of dimensions like math, writing, or practically all software.
