Climate change will definitely doom the species.

The Terminator, less so.

The terminator won't, it's fictional. If AI killed everyone, it probably wouldn't happen like a hollywood movie. Climate change is subject to way more unhinged hysteria, as well! Won't doom the species, though.

Strictly false. The people giving the gravest warnings are the same people who have been giving them for years or decades, and they’re not affiliated with OpenAI etc.

It’s weird to read an article like this. The concept of the AI apocalypse long predates big tech: terminator, Turing, the Wikipedia article, and my personal philosophy since childhood.

I’m sure there are some bad actors, but seems dismissive.
