Ask HN: Mastodoners: is there anywhere \[reliably\] reporting on the schism?

So basically things seemed great there about two months ago, I was posting about my arduino shit and my garden shit and my animals, but in the last week I got in two useless arguments with people who were fresh from Twitter so I fled cause basically, I want the small federation that doesn't have, you know, "reach". I just want a reasonably-sized cast of familiar personas that tell tell the same kind of jokes and complain about the same things I do in a mutually-relatable way. I am 100% HOA material.

So basically I was on the main instance and I just saved my data and shut it down and I've been doing a few googles and stuff to try to get some optics into whether the federation I want to participate in is even going to exist, but I'm not learning much that is of any use.

One thing I have observed is that if you look at the "explore" on most instances right now it seems to be the same. Or maybe that's a glitch with how it caches stuff, I dunno.

There is so much we haven't figured out yet in this thing...
