The betting markets have the odds at about 2:1 GOP:Dem. That's hardly a lock. And the betting markets were just wrong for Obama/Romney. And many things can change very quickly, as we've seen in the last few weeks. I don't get why people treat this like a done deal.
The contribution limit for an individual directly to a candidate's campaign is only $3,300 https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/candidate.... I think the limit should raised a lot or removed entirely, since it just encourages people to contribute to PACs instead.
I feel bad for not supporting the "ban all Elon-related posts" movement that a few users tried starting a few months ago. HN is so awful with the Keeping Up With The Muskians lifestyle audience living in our /new page.
Well it would seem reasonable to ban Musk stories unrelated to technology, as this is. If you had never heard of him you would flag this in a heartbeat.
