The irony of the author's link to the DOGE website sending users to Bluesky while complaining about links to DOGE sending users to X.
it's almost like an individual user of Bluesky posting a link is not in the slightest bit comparable to an official US Government website sending citizens to a crap propaganda site owned by a fascist
It has become a parody indeed but I think part of the reason this extreme situation exists is due the fact many people felt unheard and bombarded with a different kind of propaganda and censorship. It should be a lesson that people are not little kids that you can lecture at every corner about their views and take them for fools/gullible/uneducated etc. It reminds of me the "The Waldo Moment" episode from Black Mirror too.

Blaming the same people for being fascists proves the same ignorance for their social and economic concerns. This may actually turn them into real fascists with the "right" leadership.

It's not really ironic unless the author owns Bluesky, which they don't.
> The source code shows that the site’s canonical tags direct search engines to x.com rather than DOGE.gov.

> A canonical tag is a snippet of code that tells search engines what the authoritative version of a website is.

This seems inappropriate, unless by authoritative source, they mean we decide what is true as the new authoritarians.

Is this how Elon wants to make up the declining user numbers, page visits, and ad views?

Was this all just an SEO play? Department of Optimization Going to Elon?
Are we really surprised? This whole administration is one giant circular grift in which we are all the victims.
The thing that really squared the circle for me is when someone pointed out that <"department" with a stupid meme name I will not dignify here> is going after federal agencies that either have investigations into Musk-led companies or otherwise enforce regulations Musk doesn't like.
Good for Twitter, I guess Twitter wants to force DOGE people to use it.
Hats off to the DOGE team, they're unrevealing a long chain of corruption and money leakage.
The word is "unravelling", and as you don't know how to spell it I'd venture you know even less to point out all the corruption and money leakage that's been found. Or please, do try so we can have a laugh.
Sorry, but I prefer not to argue with people who support corruption.
Well Musk/X thought it will be too much work to generate fake views for advertisers. It is easier to take over the govt and make doge.gov links all point to X. Also helps the PageRank/SearchRank.
Just added doge.gov and x.com to my DNS block list.
Oh good good good Declan Chidlow… “flick him a follow

> I'm Declan Chidlow, a passionate frontend developer. I like to believe I've got an eye for aesthetics, and I've most definitely got a love for learning. My ultimate aspiration is to create digital experiences that are both functional and visually appealing.

When I'm not bodging together some script or reinventing the wheel, you might find me cruising around on my unicycle. Alternatively, you may find me writing up some form of article for my website, doing some gaming, inadvertently converting an otherwise functional piece of tech into a paperweight, or browsing the crevices of cyberspace. Within this digital domain, I sling scripts, inspect issues, and propose pull requests, so flick me a follow.

It's been a while, and having a fresh look at some of that writing it is evident it has aged.

I just pushed a redesign with some updated copy. Happy to hear thoughts. https://vale.rocks
