We were talking about this last night at the hackernews london meetup! It sounds delicious!
Is this a bot? Three day creation date and the sentence of TFA is

>Last night at a Hacker News meetup, I shared something

Yes, but if less is more imagine how much more more would be.
Cool idea.

For the sake of being pedantic:

> The whole bowl has fewer calories than two slices of garlic bread

Really? Idk what the sizes are, but I looked up the weight of one of those micro wave popcorn packages, which usually fill the bowl we have at home. That seemed to be 100g, which is about ~350 kcal not including oil/butter. I'm getting about ~275 for 100g of bread, which is more than two slices. That's about 6 inches of baguette.

Maybe your bowl is bigger than OPs?

Those microwavable bags generally contain multiple servings.

I should have included the following information in the blog post (will update it later!):

I usually have:

- 45g of air popped popcorn (64 calories).

- 5 to 10g of butter (37 - 74 calories).

- couple of garlic cloves (10 cals).

> You don't actually want 300 calories of refined flour.

Personally I always want this.

A Reese’s peanut butter cup hack is peanut butter and chocolate chips in a cup. Eat it with a spoon.
I was shocked that my continuous glucose monitor showed a huge spike for popcorn without butter. Last time I had it.
Carbs like popcorn that dissolve in your mouth are very close to being cotton candy.
This is also what I discovered. That a lot of what I like about beer and soft drinks is the carbonation, so having carbonated (calorie-free) water has similar satisfaction.
