No, this is just pseudo-science and resembles educational research where they try to find a causation to things that are probably just attributed to genetics. Think about genetics determining the size of your engine and motivation being the amount of energy supplied to it.
Their ski jumpers cheated and had almost flying suits instead of regular ones, their cross-country skiers were all "asthmatic" and used clenbuterol. They are kinda famous for systemic cheating at this point.
Recently there's a few articles critiquing the Norwegian system, arguing that we are going towards the "American model" as described by this article. The second kids are scored, they are relentlessly head hunted and not allowed to be kids.
I guess they still have it nice compared to the US, but is that a Norway thing or a US thing? I bet other countries are similar to us.
Are they so good? Or does it look like they are because they get medals in Winter Olympics, where they are overrepresented given that there aren’t that many countries which even have a winter?
