I think that was some random semi-celebrity or whatever, but that quote is from "Chief Product Officer" at Twitch (Amazon).
On top of this, these people making these decisions don't even seem aware of what has happened earlier, zero insight into what the company they work for has actually done, in the very same area they're actively working in?
