I think artists are more interested in safe keeping their techniques from copycats. People put in a lot of effort to stand out in a over-saturated market so of course they won't share their tricks.

I was concerned for a moment, but this seems more like an issue for big companies, not individuals.
This is why I think that any kind of play is good - for kids and for grown ups. Creativity is a skill and a mindset that needs to be practiced, doesn't matter if it's through games, art, writing or anything else.
They could just use vpns to circumvent the blocks if they really wanted to make their voices heard. Perhaps they're not interested in using Twitter or have a Chinese alternative.
