I think this is only true if SNI is disabled. Otherwise you really only get the IP of SRC and DEST.
How are you coming to the conclusion that it will run dry? For example, in the US, arguably the most prosperous period here was in the first half of the 1900s. It is when Roosevelt's New Deal went into place and the US…
Is that normal? I would imagine that if I were managing such a large deployment, I would just use a CA for the keys and then issue CA signed private keys so that I don't need to add a bunch of random ones to…
I'm nearby this intersection and there are 2 scrambles- this one and one about 2 blocks down closer to the university. There is very clear signage for cars that there are no turns allowed on red. I've crossed both…
It's unfortunate so many people "fight" or argue the importance of this. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who's taken a week to eat clean, locally sourced, minimally processed food will notice a marked difference in behavior,…
While I don't disagree, what's the solution in today's world? Seems they're doing the best with the existing legal framework we have here, for better or worse. But immich was kept agpl and no cla which is a good thing.
It's not that easy when there's 2 or 3 degrees of separation between the source of debt and the collector. And also, what collections agency is going to go through that sort of trouble unless it's for maybe…
One big caveat to this is that it is only used for authorization - you still need your master password to unlock the vault. Kinda pointless imo. There is a component called the key connector which can allow unlocking of…
I'm curious- is the Dachshund a rescue or did you raise it from a puppy? And if you raised it from a puppy, when was the first time you first socialized it? Did you begin immediately after weaning at 8 weeks or did a…
?? https://gitlab.futo.org/alex/latinime Isn't that the whole point of futo? Paid for open source software?
Eh, unless there's current ligation forcing record retention, just having a really short retention period is an easy enough solution.
Nitpick: you probably mean pregnant females. Man/woman is sociological, male/female is biological.
Recently, I purchased some chocolate covered sunflower seeds. Natural chocolate color so I didn't think to check ingredients at the store but when I got home, I reviewed the ingredients. It had red, blue, and yellow…
Seconding this as well. Similar setup (though I opted for longhorn) and journey. I'm very grateful for learning k8s but man, it was definitely rough for a long while until I really understood all the pieces and cemented…
I didn't get "poorest" out of gp's mention of welfare recipients. I took it to mean corporations who rely on government subsidies to make a profit, a good example being the huge percentage of Walmart workers on gov food…
Had the pollinators been lost because they were never natively there in the first place? Madagascar vanilla is an imperial creation, courtesy of the French. Perhaps not as much of a problem in vanilla's native habitat,…
Can you not have both? Each federated instance costs money to upkeep. Some instances could elect for collective ownership or even elect to donate for develop (probably this needs to be carefully considered to deter…
If you're planning to offload to a third party anyway, why don't you instead first try routing mail though AWS SES? You'll definitely get better delivery and at least you'll be able to control the rest of the stack.
If you connect OwnTracks to an mqtt broker, there is a feature to track friends. But I haven't played with that part so ymmv.
I guess I never considered self-hosting as not a hobby? Web apps with modern stacks are usually pretty complex, so hard for me to imagine someone just casually jumping in as a non-hobby and not running into big problems…
The issues with large clusters you've surfaced are ones I've never once experienced in my homelab. I'm already an experienced devops (?) engineer so the transition to k8s only took a few weeks and a couple sleepness…
I would argue the myriad of alternatives you've suggested as alternatives produce significantly more overhead. You linked Swarm CA renewal operations; this is maybe 1/50 of the functionality of cert-manager. Is there a…
Why only Google problems? Why not homelab problems where I'm managing upwards of 20 apps and I don't want to come up with custom automation to do things like cert renewal, tls termiantion, dynamic storage, and disaster…
This feels potentially disingenuous. Why are all the graphs only until mid-April/May? Of course states with higher density populations are going to see more spread/death/hospitalizations. Counts per 100k people don't…
That functionality is actually there. For any website that you visit where your phone also has an app to open those links in, a little Android head will appear in the address bar you and you can touch that to open with…
