Speaking as an end user- seeing that they provide no incentive to 'hackers' to help them instead of using this information otherwise, I'd say I'm inclined to not trust them.

I'm an expert in Vim but what strikes me as curious is that despite the seeming claim that emacs is better, I never see quick-start guides for emacs here. Also, would somebody know who these gifs are created?

Onenote (native) is free. I use it on windows 10. Are you sure you're downloading it from the right place? Try spoofing your windows version.
