Front End Engineer - 4+ years experience

For the past 4+ years, I've been working with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, PHP & Python.

During my first 3 years, I developed over 500+ websites in Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla and Magento, performing many fix-jobs and working closely with SEO/SEM planning and implementation. Adobe Creative Suite was used daily.

For the past year and a half, I've been working in startups dealing with DevOps and Cloud related tech, mostly Heroku and GAE. As part of my roles, I developed web apps in Python and PHP, utilizing the Webapp2 framework. Testing was done using Unittest, Mock and Nose.

Other tech skills: Unix/Linux, Apache, SSH, Git/Github, Jasmine, AJAX, C, Foreman, Vim, Vagrant, SQL, NoSQL.

  4. I'm prepping to go job hunting again (sigh...), and wondering whether or not TDD is in vogue. A few years ago, it was the in-thing and everyone was preaching it like it was some type of technological savior, but I don't…

  6. To me, Jira seems ugly and old (in the bad way - you still rock, George Clooney), reminiscent of an aged and decaying soviet refrigerator but software. The text is monochromatic and the UI is a bland, cramped,…

  7. Or is this issue solved by React being licensed under MIT?

  9. Attn physicists: If an Induction cooktop can boil water so quickly - less than 3 minutes at 1300 Watts, then why can't we use Induction technology to make a hyper-efficient steam-based electricity generator? You use a…

  10. Maybe an extension that would allow Markdown in a service like HipChat. This would allow collaboration on code with the ability to give code examples that had syntax highlighting and code-block highlighting.
