If you're burnt, the best thing to do to fix that is take time off. Try walking (1hr/day) with out your phone and just disconnect to see if that helps immediately. Try to spend more time outside or in nature if possible…
So awesome, big congrats!
I was a cs student in your boat as well, I hated anime and vidya so I didn't get along terribly well with the nerdier kids who were into that from the department. I was lucky that I was social in other ways and met…
been around for awhile, I used these for Calc 2 in 2008, and linear algebra and doffeq in 2010/11!
if I had this year's ago I would have never made an acct there!

Auto Tab Discard for ff+chrome kills off old tabs without closing them. This frees up the resources allocated for that tab, and the page will reload when you focus on it again.
too much. I go through phases, like last year I didn't do anything, but this year it's 247. going to start a MS program too, so it's going to be going for a while.
Agree/disagree, but after doing SICP myself, following other methods and making projects at the same time (or working on things I was interested in) forced me to learn a lot more than just doing some assignments in a…
I've watched this before. It would have been so great to be in some of these classes and a Course 6 student there!
In most programs, you take 1-2 programming classes before taking DS/Algs. There really isn't much of a prereq other than 1 year of programming classes.
Don't quit working to get a degree, and don't take on a lot of debt to get one.
SICP sounds like a big waste of time when you can follow another guide in a language like Python and make applications along the way.
Politely disagree. In my local market, my current job and other offers came through there. Working with recruiters made job searching extremely easy. It may not be for everyone, but in my city it worked/works extremely…
The subject is pretty easy. Just get an old edition textbook for $4 on amazon, and do the practice problems after reading the sections in each chapter. Did that for my college class and got an A.
interesting. where i work they stand around all day and talk to each other about craft beer and hockey. this is usually between meetings where they decide what work other people will actually do.
used these sites all of the time during engineering. improper integrals, diff eq, etc. these are the best notes ever if you missed class or a concept.
Any comment on how you learn to build frontends, multiple web apps, and an entire system/infrastructure as a developer? The 30 days look awesome, but not sure how to make half of that stuff.
I just read the book (Stewart) when I had to take it. After Calc 1-2 it was pretty easy in comparison. Can you just pick the few sections you need and do the practice problems? Most of the material in that class is…
Not knowing C/C++ and Java is ridiculous. Working with either of those for a few semester gives them the ability to teach themselves Python or Rust or whatever. Java is C#/OOP (many jobs want this), and C is the…
no one cares. they want a status update for the thing they just halted progress on, and prolonged further by interrupting you.
