I had one of the colored Boox models, and I actually liked it less than the b/w ones. It doesn't reflect enough light, and so I felt like I needed to use the backlight on it most of the time. I sold it and went back to…
I had this happen twice with pixel 5a's as well. Older, but just to say I'm not sure this is limited to the 8 line. One of them literally just died in my hand and was unfixable.
Don't have any metrics or anything, but I use both, and anecdotally, I feel like it's snappier and gives me better battery life.
TIL what `fn()` actually means.
Pretty sure it's just because if the tool generates the commit, it auto-adds itself as co-author. Like the iPhone emails that say "sent from iPhone"
Commodore Callback, maybe?
You say that as if this wasn't completely to plan. The release of the first airpods and the first iPhone sans headphone jack were at the same time. It was brute-forced.
fwiw, they have said they are only starting with the flagships, and work down from there: https://xcancel.com/GrapheneOS/status/2037927786803765328#m I think I saw another post some other time that it was because only…
Somewhat related, but I bought a "minimalist phone" recently, and there are edges everywhere (for example, the most recent is not supporting adding a contact from a .vcf file someone texted me). Some features make a…
I'd guess it's likely battery and size consideration.
Man that's the coolest part of this brand. It's so awesome to just be able to say "I will probably get the fingerprint reader" and just leave it at that.
idk. Not the dev, but for me it's seemed pretty correlated to cloudiness.
jfc. hold me back.
I mean, this was from a physical therapist at Kaiser Permanente, pinched nerves and referred pain are real things, and whatever happened fixed it for me, so idk? My guess is that it sounds like something a chiropractor…
I moved my code off Cloudflare just because I got frustrated on other people's websites. Being the change I want to see, I guess?
Eh, I'd probably leave music off that list. Even mainstream music releases are still pretty easy to buy DRM-free via services like Qobuz, even if the majority of people are using streaming platforms these days. Although…
I mean, LLMs are just imitating prior work, no? Poor designer probably feels like the people who liked using em dashes.
i mean fwiw can prolly include direct script tag using something like https://esm.sh
I use both. Tangled is missing some important features (private repos, protected branches). The ui feels more comfy to me, though. And Codeberg is quite slow for me. Idk if I can give you toooo much about migration,…
I feel like I'd be more comfortable with subscriptions if accounts weren't consistently required for everything. I don't particularly like everything I do being tied to an email or phone or whatever. And all those…
What can I say? Bens like maps I guess.
FWIW, I have an experimental open-source implementation of offline-capable PWA protomaps. Haven't advertised it much, because I haven't sorted out performance (particularly on mobile), and it's a bit buggy still. Also,…
With a name like "Golem", I could see a more earthy color scheme with a much more subtle (essentially unnoticeable) use of gradients feeling real nice with this product.
fwiw, currently moving my music to subvert.fm. In the past, Bandcamp has been the first place I pointed people. But have slowly felt more and more uncomfortable with it ever since the initial Epic acquisition.
