if Tesla didn’t sell pollution credits to the highest bidder, someone else would be selling pollution credits to the highest bidder. I'd rather have Tesla make money off of them!
I think this depends a lot on the EV infrastructure around you. Driving an EV in the SF Bay Area is super convenient -- I know all the chargers off the top of my head and maintaining enough range is second nature to me…
