We need to stop blaming the pandemic for things that were caused by lockdowns. Young healthy people were forced to put their lives on hold for 2 years so that some 86 year olds would make it to 87.

I've noticed a pattern in comedians who have a funny set but never make it big. They have a shtick that works, lean into it, then end up using it as a crutch. It doesn't scale to a funny second performance.

In Calgary I've used a parking machine that asked for a lot number. That is on a sign as you enter the parking lot. As if this machine could not be programmed to already know which lot of was permanently installed in.
I'm always loading my bike/skis/etc into my car after a ride and forgetting to turn off Strava for the drive home.
Anecdotally I don't think my parents could learn to program at a hireable level in their 60s.
In a fairy tale nuclear disarmament would be great. But as long as any individual nation/dictator wants nukes, all nations will want nukes.
Older parents are good for financial health. Less so for biological health.
