I'll concede with it being a matter of preference. For me, I used Debian for everything. I even use it to play VR games on Steam.
And its because of situations like this, that I push to multiple foundries at the same time. Consolidation of resources is makes it only as secure as your control of maintaining them.

On the flipside, I've applied for plenty of jobs- only to be told I lack necessary skills for the positions. My resume has been edited to fit each job.
