Why would anyone use this over the Anthropic sdk
Thats what they are doing, except with a unified model, not a seperate app for each one
These will be what replaces employees. One day you update the model from opus 5.5 to x.5, and it can just do a full job.

no i think there are alot of people inside companies that are essentially playing telephone. they are communicating, writing documents and emails, "working". but really they actually produce nothing
The big secret is most people actually arent producing actual useful output. And so there is nothing to automate... they dont actually do anything.

just go use the models on a creative endeavor
you probably aren’t using the models to their full capacity if you don’t notice the difference
i use open weight models all the time, whenever a noteable one drops i will use it for the day, they are not even close for involved work.

the creative and "big picture understanding" of anthropic models are noticeably ahead of openai. external models are distilled representations of internal models, its clear who is ahead
open weight models are so far behind i cannot take your opinion seriously
i would say its industry consensus at this point. the creative output of the anthropic models is far ahead of openai. the benchmarks cannot capture the difference
its likely they are trying to catch up to anthropic, and in doing so are trying riskier training runs.
opus 5.5 > fable 5.1 >> astra astra is a good workhorse, but its much less generally intelligent
im not sure why more people arent calling it out.
