Do think the majority of SWEs will be hand cranking out code like it's 1999 in a few years?
There is going to be a lot of this kind of thing as AI makes writing manual code optional at best. A project that bans use of agentic coding is going to have a slower development cycle, as Zig is already fairly…
Constant maintenance? What are you talking about? Once they're launched they are never touched till they burn up 7-10 years later.
Yes I mean vs what they did, at least there would be a chance of a good outcome, just returning the money would have been optimal.
Not your problem they made the mistake, cant get blood from a stone, sue me etc etc.
They last 7-10 years so they would need to stop launching for a decade, not going to happen.
Yes seems like would cost a portion of it to execute the escape. Should have just bet it on a 10/1 shot and then kept the 900k if it worked out.
Same, however managers are starting to ask questions, like 'what can we do to help remove bottlenecks' (they think sprinkle unlimited tokens -> revenue multiplies). In actual fact what happens is devs benefit. It's like…
"Less than 6 months to our papers end date and it was way off, welp let create a new one much further, bit more leeway this time"
They launch them all the time, similar to telcos digging up copper to replace fibre or upgrading infra as new tech improves.
Laying Fibre is costly, you think a company is going to lay a 200 mile fibre line so old cowboy Jim and his wife-daughter can watch Netflix.
Just tell them it's Santa, and get a grip! you should be celebrating humans can achieve what Elon and his companies have achieved. Whats next are you going to cry because 'My kids had to see a power line going through…
Doesn't have Grok 4.5 listed yet, wonder why 5.6 is, it was released later?
Elon listen to this guy, shut it down, he got fiber and switched so bring the satellites down, it's not going to work. Hackernews has become like reddit, shame it used to be good, now it's an Elon bashing woke echo…
This is a web forum, I don't put effort into writing perfect grammatically correct English prose. Im white and European and not an immigrant in any respect. My point is unchecked affective empathy (raw emotional…
No I live in the U.K. so I am fit to judge a former colony on its short progress.
how do you mean, I always use the latest models so evaluating all the time.
Cmon planes move is 3 axis (yes trains technically do but not via the controls) and take-off landing is a lot more complex than leaving/stopping at a station, the comparison is crazy.
Just my experience from being on trains, they accelerate, cruise, slow down and stop am I missing anything? They must be ripe for automation.
Ah yes that's wider than driving a train, if thats what this games I misunderstood.
Looks very realistic, however I have to question the whole premise of a train sim, trains seem to be the most boring vehicle to choose here, they run in tracks so not much freedom, basically accelerate and brake.
Harm: illegal immigrant raping and murdering innocents citizens Not Harm: Billions being wasted on woke left wing propaganda abroad while local communities starved of funds
Now we have various Opus+ level models (Opus/Fable, Grok 4.5, GPT 5.6) I prefer to focus on price/speed and harness as models are all generally good enough for coding. (Fable is overkill for 90% of work but is still…
No he hasn't he has warned against empathy that leads to harm (i.e. suicidal empathy). Over empathy is a bad character trait, it leads to being used/manipulated/weakness.
It has occurred to the OP, but those ones are ok as they fit OP's political leanings. They just want to silence other political narratives that dont agree with theirs, they want Grok in the Gulag.
