The problem is that there's nothing between $0/month and $19/month. I would happily pay $20-50 a year for a "Solo" GitLab plan. I have a handful of small repos hosted by GitLab. I don't use CICD for those repos.
I'm in South Korea and the banner claims I'm in United Arab Emirates, however it shows the correct flag for my location. 218.146.64.x is my IP address range. Thanks for writing the book!
Before they split off into 2 apps? Data went to them, not the other way round.
The link at the bottom of the content is: "Please consider backing us on Kickstarter so that we can share more this story and 99% of crowdfunding stories that will inspire you." I do understand that the scam isn't the…
I find it more interesting that they are crowdfunding unravelling the alleged crowdfunding scam.
The communication needs to improve at every step. I've just discovered that my one-off scan is actually a daily scan. I admit that my intent was curiosity rather than something I actually need, however there are more…
Just tried it, not impressed. "give us your email, give us your email, give us your email" on the first page isn't very welcoming, it sounds desperate. I can wait a short while for a scan (I came for the scan, not to…

It would be limited to the Chinese who have access to a VPN and can speak English, and have a social group of foreigners. There are also alternative Chinese social networks where their friends are, and without the added…
Interesting weekly patterns. I'd also be curious to match up the spikes of traffic with significant news (01/2012 3rd week, 12/2011 2nd week, etc). Thanks for sharing!
They have produced some really cool blog posts, which I enjoyed reading. The site itself is fun, I've had 2 accounts on there - 1 I used in London, 1 in Shanghai. I got some profile views and a couple of conversations,…
OKC isn't there to help you find someone, it's there to make money (displaying ads or making you pay to remove them). They keep you on the site with incentives (answer more questions, you'll get to see better…
I'm not going to lie, you are a genius.

The scrollbar on the right wasn't a bit of a give-away?
The carrot and stick are in the wrong place. It's the individual that needs to be fined (obviously not £100,000 though, just an amount that will make them cry and inconvenience them somewhat). You can bet they won't…
And can you guess where that £100,000 will come from? That's right, an increase in council tax.
It is in the 1st Freakonomics book. The post is obviously bait to get traffic. Recruiters are a middleman; they get approached by people offering jobs, and by people wanting jobs. Some are better than others, just like…
He's UK-based according to his personal pages.
I have recently offloaded a whole bunch of stuff, streamlining my possessions before going travelling - and it is weird at first. My feelings are definitely a mix of uprooted and liberated, in equal measures.
