My first thoughts after showing the old windows desktop is... as a PC user (non tablet) that Metro UI is gonna get really irritating with a mouse; so you'll end up just using the Win7 looking part.... what's changed?!
I like that avoidance of the vi v Emacs war; but I do agree. You do good work in the editor which you both know and have used.
As a student, this also comes from the department. It is apparently urgent and important that there is a talk in three weeks time which is optional!
