Flutter always feels uncanny valley to me on iOS because its re-creations of the native controls and not the real deal. Not always a big deal depending on your app design but if you want an app that looks like one Apple…
Expo has taken over the react-native scene - look at the libraries they use and you will find them pretty active. The expo approach to generating the native projects is just better than the OOB react-native stuff which…
I like "Hello Chinese" but as the name suggests, it's just for Chinese :D
It just seems so incredibly unlikely to know a “handful” of people who had this unless you met them in the ER. And while I guess it’s mathematically possible, you have to know that it’s incredibly rare and essentially…
It's a huge chunk of their "services revenue". It's their dirty little secret.
Goodbudget has quarterly / annual / goal budgets which are good for things like your travel example.
Good Budget is the one that I use after trying a TON of them in January this year. It was one of the few that really does the kinds of things I want. Some things that I wish it had or did differently are: - The progress…
No April fools day on the internet.... hopefully.
Also pedestrian crash laws and safety regulations etc. By the time you plug all those values into the computer along with the hard points of your platform/chassis you are obviously gonna end up with the same thing.
Every time I've had a client ask to use one of these services it has ended up being more work and worse UX, with more bugs on the edge cases, than just doing it yourself. I've implemented Gigya, Janrain, Auth0, Firebase…
OK I need to move to the USA, you can't even get close to this in Australia :(
It did. It died.
It’s definitely gotten better over time. The 2018 one is better than the 2016 ones for sure, but not good enough still.
It was he must mean 2015
In my experience apple usually refunds you after the same issue occurs 3x on a machine. I had this happen for the keyboard on my 2016 15” mbp.
I'm not sure it's the MBP thats the problem with the Bluetooth - My iMac at work has the mouse disconnect randomly at least a couple of times a week.
Disagree strongly. While the build chain, documentation, marketing etc is nicer - it definitely has an uncanny valley situation going on in iOS at least. It NEARLY feels native.. but something's not quite right. Also…
I hate redux-form so. much.
It’s weird how in China QR codes are basically ubiquitous and yet the rest of the world basically ignores them. The difference as far as I can tell is WeChat, which basically everyone has, has great QR code support…
You will also be cpu bound often when going for extremely high refresh rate 1080p. E.g. 240hz.
You can still on the current Apple TV. In fact if your app is just full of video content or similar then you probably should.
Never mind the insane difference in SSD performance.
Elixir/Erlang themselves seem fine. Where you can sometimes run into issues is with libraries that use NIF's and getting them compiled in windows...
To me it comes down to if you like the style of using a template language for the render or not. Someone will inevitably say you can use JSX in Vue but if you do that I don’t see the point in picking Vue.
Not a chance. Look at what is happening in China.
