[ 0.29 ms ] story [ 41.2 ms ] threadBack in time, many people used to say, "I am genetically predisposed to fat or underweight" All of them were proven wrong by macrocodex's method.
No matter if your metabolism is slow or fast, most people will see guaranteed results!
tech stack: flutter and rust
Well, I know you work for Macrofactor, but we are not interested in producing useless posts with colorful charts.
>Do you have any publicly available data showing that your app delivers guaranteed results and outperforms GLP-1s?
Yes, our group has thousands of members and where people can join the group through the Macrocodex app, they'll see Macrocodex users outperforming GLP users.
Greg Nuckols can't even do math well. Look at their subreddit, people are always having issues with their app.

As macrocodex is beating macrofactor by a long shot, many people are realizing that Greg Nuckols's science is more about marketing than results and evidence!
Do you remember the Hussain and Solomon controversy of Jeff Nippard, one of the top MacroFactor promoters? And the PhD controversy of Mike Israetel?
MacroFactor charges $72 a year and spends a lot of money paying influencers to promote the app, so it’s not surprising that you see so many submarine posts about it.
Very soon, everyone will realize this!
What I've found is that tracking activity via calories burned is horribly unproductive as there are large variations on how many calories were "burned" depending on the app, device and activity. Are there any scientific studies on how to calculate calorie burn for any activities? Anything in a controlled environment to understand something simple like adult walking 1 flat mile at 3mph. It seems like this would be really hard to nail down compared with say average calories in an apple. Anecdata: as soon as I stopped tracking activity, the scale started moving.
At the moment, it's not really a monetize-able product because it's so niche, and competitors are well established. My goal is to have stable, consistent pricing for years (hopefully decades), while also making it easy to switch to self-hosted alternatives.

Its called Lapse (lapse.in) & its completely free
Using it is pretty simple → Simply close your eyes and imagine the micro-scenario until you hear the next one (such as: moonlight on a white flower).
Default session duration is only 7 minutes (try this out tonight!)
Working towards parity with established players in the space and hoping to catch some customers from the Airtable exodus. Tech: Cloudflare with a few Hetzner boxes, React & Claude.
People actually bought version 1, and still use it, but its mostly free users. Its hard to get people to pay anything.. but i did make about $1000 from v1. People still use it everyday, even though its not AS useful as it was before since agents have improved but it comes in handy.
I can't even get anyone to try buttons cli for free lol, I use it though, to see what codex is doing in terminals (and I like clicking buttons and being able to generate commands faster than googling) https://buttonscli.com/3/
Planning the week, general tasks, establishing goals, recording inventory, habits, workouts, bills, setting up reminders... you get the idea. I designed it to have a smooth UX, to work on my mobile phone, to be easily customizable, pretty-looking, and also to have a MCP server so I can talk to an AI and have it update stuff there for me (which works already!).
