FWIW I've started getting messages from recruiters since last week. As others have said, the market is just not in the right place for now. How about directly applying via their websites/LinkedIn/AngelList (cant…
Im a 5G Google Fi user (Pixel 7) in Boston (I live in the city) and its honestly trash. There have been so many times where it says 5G but there's actually no network (maps keeps using the downloaded ones, music doesnt…
If you're a Garmin device user, the app is pretty good! I only recently started using their app more often and barring the social aspects, I dont think Strava offers me anything more. HR zones, recovery etc are all…
Culture-wise? Pretty boring TBH. I've worked in 2 startups and this company, hence the opinion. Work was very slow paced, lots of processes to follow and not experimental with technology (for obvious reasons). IMO ideal…
I'm curious, what field of work is this? And what kind of jobs more importantly?
I'm with you on trying to have minimal notifications. I have one personal email configured only for important mails, phone is set to vibration only since years (TBH I don't even remember what my ringtone sounds like)…
I switched to a Garmin Instinct a few months ago. My Charge 2 died and I wanted something with GPS and decent battery life. I charge my watch every 10ish days (I pair it with my phone only after an activity to see the…
I too was planning on applying to them in the next few days. But I will first find out who exactly is being cut out. This article says that its some support staff (I assume these are mainly non-technical people), but it…
I doubt that was the intent at the time. Sure they'd be looking for ways to monetize, but could the co-founder in 2012 have predicted what FB as an entity would become ~10 years later?

Abebooks is my primary source of buying books! Its especially good for me, since I'm not originally from the US and its the cheapest way to get publications in my native language from "foreign" sellers. I'd like to…
I see just one too. In the US
Yeah I agree with this. They were in top form and the crowd obviously helped. Anfield is massive for the team with supporters around. But after having such a long break due to the lockdown can change the dynamics. Its…
Completely agree with this! One thing I like to do is break any task to smaller pieces and then achieve those goals. There are some times when I'm really excited about something and can work days without any distraction…
Despite the reputation, the app has over a billion downloads. That's what amazes me the most!
Genuine question: Do Reddit mods get paid for being mods? Someone here posted a link to all the sub-reddits in question. These see so many posts generated all day. Im actually curious how someone has so much time to go…
I'm a regular on r/formula1 and I've always wondered how that user has big announcements in before everyone. That user even posts some really interesting videos and insights, but I never came across this. Because I…
Oh I agree with you. I work for a company making software for utilities. Our company policy doesn't allow working remotely at all! Engineers (not developers) need to work on systems that are isolated and staged in our…
I have a feeling a lot of companies will follow suit. It saves up huge costs in real-estate by not having to provide seats to people. It also might just open up more companies to hire from any time zone.
