More ideas, less scolding as if you are superior
I never said they were a great measure. Another tool in the toolkit. Or it was anyway.
It’s not just you; pop music compositions with key changes that add complexity have all but vanished since the early 00s: https://flowingdata.com/2022/11/22/decline-of-key-changes-in... Automation tools and fine grained…
We could, oh, I don’t know, build local work groups and refuse to accept US dollars locally. There are other frequencies we can speak, and geometry we can “draw” on the globe via agency. No need to constrain them to…
Reality isn’t fractal. People leaving for a variety of motives, expansion of some offices, closing others… chip away at the edge of known truth. Entropy forces new relative perspective. Humans need to do better about…
And that’s fine. We need less low effort rage bait, viral influencer influence on the economy. The reach of contrived political philosophy, fiat economic hustle, and pop culture gabber can be constrained; the…
I would ditch user logins and user comments. Let OPs post a wallet or something and otherwise remain anon. Avoid the hypernormalizing of commentary and costly moderation by forcing scrollers to comment elsewhere; cut…

Economic philosophy always ignores the real humans who will exist regardless what cherry picked economic markers indicate. Reality will never care about any human philosophy. Humans will invest agency in interesting…
Is Apple some immutable scientific center of reality? No. But neither are you. It’s not a question of Apple is or isn’t but a statement “you are not”. Apple suddenly vanishing would actually have a much more dramatic…
Sounds like leaded gas. Wasn’t banned until 1980s. Our leaders are 80 year old post war shell shocked, Cold War paranoids who huffed leaded gas fumes for decades. Explains quite a lot actually.
There’s a lot of examples out there where hiring family was a complete flop. Show data trust in family is rational and not just low effort. I think you’re making up a narrative that sounds roughly technical, roughly…
What is SF doing different is not bussing their problem to Texas or Florida as Texas and Florida do. This culture is a joke. An intentionally unaccountable but highly compensated and connected federal political…
There are a lot of winners through nepotism in the world. Your ability to craft an idea in correct logic of a language does not mean the logic is meaningful to reality.
The same story exists across the US. How does San Francisco fix a national health issue when Congress refuses to do anything but cut taxes on the rich to force us into begging from someone who is obviously more pious…
Surely the effort to manage LLMs is wasted on keeping a publisher from having to do the job they’re paid for. Are we really going to let big corp automate away their role in the social contract? Ostensibly Random House…
You aren’t the center of other people’s lives. How is any old arbitrary user to know you’re not a con of a dev? Software sales are contrived fiat exchange to give your code access to my hardware and userspace. Who the f…
Higher ups? The primate AI is hallucinating after decades of prompt injections. What obligation do we have to coddle “higher ups” figurative identity?
Thanks for the sixth grade civics run down. Someone knowing the arbitrary law of primates is just thinking “they know better.” They know it’s illegal! It’s not a divine mandate; it’s projection of non-existent power of…
